Arvid was born in Norway, where his first stage roles included Perchik in 'Fiddler on the Roof', followed by appearances in several other productions, including 'Chess', 'Godspell' and 'Don Juan 2000'. 

At the age of 22, Arvid moved to England to complete his training in Musical theatre at the Guildford
School of Acting, graduating in July 1996. Arvid was immediately offered the role of Arti Green in the
German production of 'Sunset Boulevard'

He returned to the UK in November 1997 to take the role of the Beast in 'Beauty and the Beast' at the
Marlowe Theatre, followed by the UK national tour.  He also appared as Prince Charming in 'Cinderella' at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Saqura in 'Space Family Robinson' at the Pleasance Theatre, Jesus in 'A Day in The Life...' by Ogilvy & Mather and Vincent van Gogh in 'Vincent' at the King's Head Theatre.

Arvid has since gone on to star as the lead in a number of successful British productions including Jesus in the Really Useful Group's No. 1 tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and Joseph in two national tours of Bill Kenwright's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. More recently, Arvid starred as Colin in the 2004 production of Murderous Instincts, followed by a performance as Marius in Lost Musicals: Fanny, at the Lilian Baylis Theatre in 2005.

As well as theatre, Arvid regularly performs in Cabaret evenings and completed his first feature film in
2003 as the lead role of Daniel Puner.
